Sterling: I Never Want to Join Arsenal
Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has insisted he never considered going to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Previously, reportedly the former Liverpool player will soon be docked to Emirates stadium where The Citizens reportedly willing to exchange it with Alexis Sanchez is desirable by Pep Guardiola. However, ahead of the closure there are no signs of surprise.
Even so, but both teams in the forecast will re-negotiate in the transfer window in January. But Sterling made sure both yesterday and in the near future he was not going to move to North London, the British national team retainer believes Pep still needs his services to help the team win the Premier League trophy.
“I do not have to talk to Guardiola because I’ve spoken to him during the summer about pre-season, I have no negative thoughts or bad things about it,” Raheem Sterling told the media.
“I just woke up one day with England and saw that and I do not believe a word until I hear something from the coach, then I will believe it.
“It’s not something I’m worried about because Pep is an honest man and he must have talked about it with me before, so I do not have to worry about him, not for a minute, he’s great for me, especially with simple things.
“He’s always trying to get you to do simple things at the top level and that’s a very genius thing about him. He makes sure you do simple things and succeed.
“I have signed a five-year contract here and I see myself here and playing my football here under a great coach with a great team.”
Meanwhile, until the eighth week of the Premier League, the Citizens are still firmly on top of the standings by packing 22 points and making them a great opportunity to win the trophy this summer.
